Seeking a Brilliant Administrator

  Ceridwyn Parr has served the Anglican Women’s Studies Council Council with grace and dedication for six years, and we will miss her wisdom and guiding presence. The Council is now looking for a new administrator who can rise to the occasion.

The Council for Anglican Women’s Studies Centre is seeking an experienced Administrator to be the glue that holds everything together in this dynamic part time role.

 
Sole Charge/Permanent part-time
*Working from home- must have good internet access
*Flexible working schedule that is project driven- averaging 16 hours a week
*Empathy for the needs of women in ministry and cross cultural awareness
*Autonomous and varied role using all your administrative and management skill set.
 
The AWSC Council is a committee of six women from across Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia, that was established to serve and advance the needs of women in ministry and theological education within the Anglican Church.
The Council is seeking to appoint a part-time experienced Administrator to provide administrative support to this three tikanga committee, and to drive the Council’s projects on its behalf. The Council seeks a self- starter with a can-do attitude, highly effective organisational and communication skills, excellent judgement and personal integrity.
 
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:
*experience in providing administrative support, including taking minutes, preparing agendas and newsletters, report writing and using excellent communication skills.
*ability to arrange flights, rental cars, accommodation, catering, venues and resources for the Council, Link representatives and Council guests through Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.
*Excellent time management skills, including a proven ability to manage multiple competing work priorities
*Event planning and budget management experience
*Advanced Microsoft office tools, including word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher
* Demonstrate cultural competence and understanding of the significance of inclusiveness and equality within a three tikanga church
*an affinity towards to the values of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.
*New Zealand passport or appropriate work permit to work in New Zealand. If New Zealand based,

*attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture
*anticipation of needs, and keeping one step ahead of the pack, but flexibility in switching gears, to adapt when necessary
*strong organisational skills, and a calm competent manner
* willingness to travel in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia occasionally
